At pinkly our story is one of simplicity. After several years of promoting breast health, as a Nurse Practitioner our co-founder Monika found herself on the side that she so often found her patients in. A papilloma discovered on mammogram, initially thought to be benign, turned out to be the early stages of breast cancer.
This started a long journey of several unsuccessful lumpectomies and eventually a mastectomy. Pinkly grew out of her frustrations to find a simple means to take a shower, and an endless search for a pillow that would allow her to get a decent night’s rest without laying on her surgery sites. Monika decided that other breast cancer patients and their families should be able to have easy access to all the recovery supplies they need in a centralized location.
